Gettingstarted.
From your WordPress dashboard
01Go to Plugins → Add New .
02Search for AverForm .
03Click Install Now , then Activate .
Manual installation
04Upload the averform folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, or upload the plugin ZIP through Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin .
05Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen in WordPress.
After activation
06Go to AverForm → Add New and pick a template, or start from a blank form.
07Drag fields onto the canvas and configure them in the right-hand panel.
08Open Settings in the builder to set your email notification and your success message or redirect.
09Save the form, copy its shortcode from AverForm → All Forms , and paste it into any post or page.
10Watch submissions arrive under AverForm → Entries and track performance under AverForm → Reports .

Do I need to know how to code to use AverForm?
No. AverForm is a no-code drag and drop form builder. You add fields by dragging them onto the canvas and configure everything from the settings panel. The only thing you ever copy and paste is the form’s shortcode.
How do I create a contact form in WordPress with AverForm?
Go to AverForm → Add New , choose the Contact Form template, adjust the fields if you want, save it, then paste the shortcode (for example [averform id="1"] ) into the page where you want the form to appear. The template already includes an admin email notification, so you will be notified about submissions right away.
Will AverForm slow down my website?
No. AverForm has no jQuery dependency, and its frontend CSS and JavaScript are only enqueued on pages that actually render a form. Pages without a form load no AverForm assets at all.
Where are my form submissions stored?
In your own WordPress database, in AverForm’s own tables. Nothing is sent to an external service, and you can export any form’s entries to CSV at any time.
Can I export my form entries?
Yes. Open a form’s entries and click Export CSV to download every submission as a CSV file you can open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
Can I move a form to another site?
Yes. Use Export on any form in the All Forms list to download it as a JSON file, then import that file on the other site. You can also Duplicate a form on the same site with one click.
Does AverForm stop spam submissions?
Yes. Every form includes a built-in honeypot trap that blocks automated bot submissions. It works automatically, requires no configuration or API keys, and never shows your visitors a CAPTCHA puzzle.
Can I build multi-column forms?
Yes. Drop a Column Container onto the canvas, choose how many columns you need, and adjust each column’s width. Fields placed inside sit side by side.
Can I collect file uploads?
Yes. AverForm includes both a File Upload field and an Image Upload field, with allowed file types and size limits you control per field.
Is AverForm GDPR friendly?
AverForm includes dedicated GDPR Agreement and Terms & Conditions consent fields, keeps all submission data inside your own database, and offers a Remove All Data on Uninstall setting so deleting the plugin can wipe every trace of its data.
Is AverForm translation ready?
Yes. All strings use the averform text domain and a .pot file is included in the languages folder, so the plugin can be translated into any language.
Can I add my own custom field type?
Yes. AverForm exposes a field registry with the averform_register_fields extension point and the averform/booted action, so a developer can register custom field types the same way the plugin registers its own advanced fields.
